Product update #1125: More insight, clearer overview and new possibilities in HallMonitor

We have gathered an overview of the latest features and what is on the way in HallMonitor. The aim, as always, is to provide a more stable data foundation and make it easier to work systematically with the use of your facilities.

What’s new

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
From 21 November, organisations can have MFA enabled. This provides more secure access and only requires you to contact HallMonitor Support if you would like it activated.

Weekly email updates
It is now possible to subscribe to a fixed weekly update directly from the Summary Grid.Settings are managed under Notifications, allowing you to keep an overview without having to retrieve data manually each week.

Expanded Customer API (Enterprise)
Enterprise customers can now access up to 30 days of data – including area-level data. This provides a stronger foundation for local authority analyses and system integrations.

Bi-directional PIR sensor
We have added a new PIR sensor that registers movement in both directions through an entrance or corridor. The sensor is well suited to smaller rooms and for flow measurement as a supplement to HM4.

Seasonal Changes in Insights
Insights now includes a new tab that gathers seasonal variations in facility usage in a single view. This makes it easier to track how activity develops over time.

What does this mean for you?

The new features provide:

  • a more stable overview through weekly updates and the seasonal view
  • improved data security with MFA and a stronger API
  • more precise measurements in smaller rooms with the new PIR sensor

All with a focus on supporting both daily operations and long-term planning.

Coming soon

Edge AI – ongoing improvements
We are continuing work to improve the model responsible for counting directly on the device. The testing covers several types of facilities – indoors, outdoors, swimming areas and Off-Grid installations – and may in time enable more detailed analyses.

Expanded notifications
The weekly emails will be expanded with no-shows, and we are also working on notifications that make it easier to monitor device status.

Benchmarking in Insights
We are exploring the possibility of gathering data across local authorities, making it easier to compare usage patterns in one view.

Improved user interface
We have hired a front-end developer, enabling us to improve the structure of the platform continuously and make it easier to navigate in daily use.

We're testing: HallMonitor Off-Grid

Interest in Off-Grid has been high, and we are therefore currently testing the solution on areas without access to power – such as pitches and outdoor activity areas.

The first installation has been running reliably for several weeks, even in poor weather conditions.

The test will show how the solution works in practice and which environments it is best suited to.We are expanding the pilot phase to gather experience from more locations.

We continue the work

We continue to strengthen the data foundation and make HallMonitor clear and straightforward to use. You can follow upcoming updates here on the site.
